El Chalten is a hiking paradise in Patagonia on the Argentinian side. It is also where you will find the Los Cerros Boutique Hotel. It is located in the heart of El Chalten, on a little hill, where you have a panoramic view over El Chalten.

The Hotel

The hotel has the privilege of being located at the highest point in El Chalten. You can see the Vueltas River Valley from your room, or the peaks of Fitz Roy from the entrance. Los Cerros Hotel is also located just a few steps away from the best hiking trails in El Chalten.

The Rooms

The rooms are simple. The location, the food, and the spa are the main draws for guests, not the rooms. Still, the accommodation has perhaps the nicest view in El Chalten.

It's nice to have a large window overlooking El Chalten as soon as you walk into the room. Such large windows and this kind of view are uncommon in hotels. The room has a lot of potential. It would have been a lot better with some decorative pillows and art on the wall.

There are multiple towels and complimentary toiletries in the lovely bathroom, along with slippers and a robe.

They have several room options, such as Standard Room, Superior Room, Chaltén, and Premium.

Common Areas

The common areas are spacious and beautiful. With the beautiful art of the mountains in El Chalten, you can find board games and books to read. The restaurant is beautiful with outstanding views, and outstanding service. The staff did everything to make you feel welcome.

The Spa

The spa at Los Cerros Hotel was enjoyable. It has two jacuzzis, several beds, and plenty of towels. It had two saunas and one room where you could book massages. I booked the hot rock massage and it is one of the best massages I have had in my entire life. The spa has huge windows with an outstanding view over El Chalten and the mountains.

The Restaurant

The breakfast is included with your stay, it has everything you need. One day we had to go hiking early, before breakfast and they made a really good breakfast box for us.

The dinner at Los Cerros Hotel is outstanding. I ordered the steak, which was one of the most tender steak I have ever had and my friend chose the vegan curry dish, which she also really enjoyed. I also had a tasty beet soup and ice cream for dessert.

The food here will be part of your experience in Patagonia, their chefs are dedicated to giving you a culinary adventure. The menu offers a varied menu, all made with fresh ingredients of the highest quality.

This hotel offers a culinary experience you will not forget. High class for sure.

The Wifi

I have to include the WIFI here. We stayed in different places in El Chalten and the WIFI was not working anywhere until we arrived at Los Cerros Hotel. The WIFI was the best we have experienced in El Chalten.

Conclusion

I can recommend this hotel for people who want a culinary experience, a good spa, and close hiking trails. Also if you want a hotel with the best view in town, this is that. The service is great and there is nothing to complain about.

Just don't expect the most beautiful room. From what I heard, is that they are still decorating after taking over the hotel from someone else, and they are upgrading it day by day. This is good to know because this hotel has charm and a lot of potential.
