One of the most beautiful hotels on Kauai. The road to get there is an amazing experience itself, and when you arrive, you are greeted with Aloha and you receive a fresh Lei, a flower necklace that is very common in Hawaii. If you come with a car, you can choose to either do valet parking for an extra cost, or free parking 100 meters away. Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa has 605 guest rooms with private balconies. They offer traditional Luau with entertainment.

Location:

The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa is located on the southern coast of the island of Kauai in Hawaii, USA, the town is called Poipu. This is the sunny south side of Kauai. Poipu is where most of the resorts are located. At Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa you get the privacy you crave for. It is not far from Lihue airport, about a 30-minute drive. The hotel is located right at the beach. Over 50 acres of property with a view of the ocean, the resort is close to waterfalls, lagoons, and lush tropical gardens.

The rooms:

This is a luxurious hotel, and that’s exactly the feeling you get when you step into your room. We had a king room with an ocean view. The bathroom and the view was the highlight of the room. They had complimentary reusable water bottles, which you can refill throughout the hotel. It was also sparkling clean. The balcony had a table and two chairs.

All of the rooms and suites at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa feature luxurious amenities, such as a flat-screen TV, high-speed internet access, a coffee maker, and a mini-fridge. The decor is inspired by the natural beauty of Kauai, with rich colors and materials, such as bamboo and mahogany. Whether you're traveling with your family or enjoying a romantic getaway, you're sure to find a room or suite that meets your needs at this beautiful resort.

The swimming pools:

The hotel has several swimming pools for guests to enjoy, which are open 24-hour. The pools are surrounded by waterfalls, waterslides, and the possibility to play volleyball.

River Pool: This is their largest pool, and is designed to look like a meandering river. It features a water slide, a quiet lagoon for swimming, and several bridges that cross over the pool

Seawater Pool: This pool has seawater and is located next to the ocean, providing guests with stunning views of the Pacific.

Adult pool: Reserved for guests ages 18 and up, which makes it very peaceful away from the noise and activity from the other pools. The pool is surrounded by lush gardens and features a hot tub.

Keiki pool: Designed for children and features a shallow wading area and a fun water slide. The pool is supervised by lifeguards to ensure the safety of young guests.

My honest review:

I like this hotel, one of my favorites in Hawaii. The location is perfect, not far from hikes, the beach (actually located right on the beach) lookouts, waterfalls, restaurants, and shopping. The rooms are spacious and we chose the one with an ocean view, and it was great. The food was very expensive, but beyond delicious. Just walking around the hotel is an experience in itself. It is such a huge property and has so many things to do such as checking out all the different restaurants, the small local shops with arts and. For sunset, we went down to the beach to watch the local surfers doing some amazing tricks on the waves. At night we went to eat, listening to live music, a local performer.
