GRAND MIRAMAR - THE BEST VIEW IN PUERTO VALLARTA

Grand Miramar in Puerto Vallarta

If you want the best view in Puerto Vallarta, this is the place to go. It has a stunning view over Zone de Romantica and the Pacific Ocean. The hotel is located on the hills of the exclusive Conchas Chinas area and a 7-minute drive from the popular touristic areas of Puerto Vallarta. We were so lucky to get the master suite with ocean view, offering a Jacuzzi, fully equipped kitchen, and an air-conditioned suite that features a king-size bed (and I mean, KING size). The room also features a lounge with a sofa and a flat-screen TV.

The hotel is huge and has 3 swimming pools on the main terrace and 1 infinity pool on the top floor, which is an adult-only terrace but closes at 5 pm because of the restaurant next by. I enjoyed all of them, but the one on the top floor is very special because it has the best view. You can also order your favorite drink and a little snack while enjoying the view of the Pacific Ocean. The price for one night includes a breakfast buffet and has a very good mix of Mexican and American food, with fresh juices, good coffee, fruits, and some delicious desserts.

Our day was packed with things to do, such as waking up to eat a delicious breakfast, then we headed for the gym. They have a fully equipped gym next to the main terrace where you can find the swimming pools. After the gym, we went to the pool to relax and enjoy ourselves. Then we took a taxi to town for lunch. We walked around the beautiful cable stone streets, with amazing restaurants. The food in Puerto Vallarta is very good. We went back to the hotel to relax on the terrace where the infinity pool is located. Had some drinks before we went back to the room to get ready for dinner. The rooms are very spacious and you feel like you are in a luxury apartment, not a hotel. The smell in the room were so fresh and clean, the shower so spacious and the oceanview were magnificent.

Dinner was served upstairs next to the terrace. We ordered nachos and risotto for the main dish. Then we went for bed, ready for a new day.

The closest beach is Conchas Chinas beach, my favorite beach in Puerto Vallarta. You can take a taxi or an Uber there and it will take you about 4 minutes. This is a sandy beach, surrounded by palm trees and luxury villas. The water is crystal clear and it is very comfortable. The only thing is that there are no sun beds or umbrellas so you have to bring that yourself if needed. I just brought my towel and went swimming when it got too warm.

Zona Romantica is not far away from the hotel, a little town with modern cafes, good shopping and a nice beach (but usually very packed) Zone Romantica is very known for its LGBT community, so you will see there are gay hostels and gay clubs everywhere, gay resorts and gay spa, even tours you can find just for gays. Puerto Vallarta is one of the first cities that accepted the LGBT community. Puerto Vallarta is the first city to receive the “Gay Travel Approved” (GTA) badge from gaytravel.com

After all, it is a great hotel and very good value for your money. I would recommend staying here for two nights to get the full experience, try all their food, and use their amenities. It has the best view of Puerto Vallarta, no hotel can beat it.
