VILLA LALA - THE MOST UNIQUE HOTEL IN PUERTO VALLARTA

Going to Puerto Vallarta I had the idea to work with some cool hotels, and I stumbled upon this beautiful villa tucked in between a lush forest and the ocean. 

The hotel is located south of Bahía de Banderas, where you can snorkel, hike, short drives to waterfalls, and not far away from Zona de Romantica in Puerto Vallarta. The best part about this villa is that all the rooms have an ocean view, a private beach, a dock where you can jump into the ocean, an infinity pool, and an outdoor gym. 

Currently, Villa Lala has 6 suites, but they are building 5 more that supposedly will be ready around march 2023. We were so lucky to stay in the brand new suite with its swimming pool, jacuzzi, hammock, ocean view, and a swing dangling over the pool. It also had a double shower. The two pictures below, you can see what will be the new villas in 2023, we stayed in the one that is ready in first floor.

The 6 suites they currently offer are: 

Garden Terrace Junior Suite: This is located on the ground floor of the hotel, this one is perfect if you don’t prefer stairs, and close to the ocean and the pool. The room offers huge windows facing the garden and you can feel that you are in the middle of the jungle, which will make you feel very relaxed. 

Garden view junior suite - master suite: The master suite offer an outstanding view of the ocean. It has a tantra couch to make things a little bit spicier, or would you say romantic and it has a bathtub with a view. Very beautiful room in the main building. 

Master suite plus: This one is also located in the main building where the reception and restaurant are. This one is very spacious and one of the more luxurious ones. It's located on the second floor and you will have an outstanding 180-degree view of the ocean and the mountains. 

Penthouse suite: This is the most luxurious one in the main building. It has all you need and an outstanding view. It has a terrace with chairs and a hammock. It offers a Jacuzzi. Walk-in closet, Egyptian cotton sheets, and a king-size bed. You will hear the singing birds in the morning and watch the sunrise from your bed. 

Tree love nest: they built a villa next to the main building offering two suites, one of which is the tree love nest. The building looks like a bird's nest. They found all the branches and trunks from the jungle so everything is very organic and authentic.

Jungle love nest: This is the best suite they have available at the moment, this suite offers an intense ocean view and has an infinity pool and a jacuzzi. It is incredible what they have done with the place and it looks like it is just the beginning. It's located in the fig tree where you can also find the tree love nest on the first floor. 

We were so lucky to be the first ones to stay in their brand-new suites, which will be available hopefully around March 2023. The suite offers its infinity pool, ocean view, jacuzzi, double shower, double sink, and a huge balcony with sun beds. Green plants and a massive hammock. Honestly, I have never seen anything like it before. Below, you can see three pictures of the beach next by, only accessed by boat or foot

There are so many things you can do at this hotel. You can chill at the main pool with your favorite drink, or take a swim in their infinity pool overlooking the ocean and the mountains. Villa Lala also offers a private beach just below the hotel. There is also a private dock where you can take a swim, jump in the water or just chill in their hammock. Try their amazing Mexican cuisine with beautiful surroundings. 

They also offer kayaks so you can go paddle to other beaches just around the corner or if you prefer hiking, you can also find these hidden beaches on foot. 

My final review of this place

Driving towards this hotel was an amazing adventure in itself, the view along the coastline, and the nature got greener and lusher the closer you got to the hotel. The crew met us with open arms, offering a welcome drink while the room was getting ready. The first thing I noticed with the property is that they have focused 100% on the rooms. The rooms feel very luxurious, but the reception area and restaurant feel a little old and cheap. But it didn’t matter because most of the time you want to spend in the rooms since they are so special and you will probably never see anything like it. Hopefully, after they finish the 5 new villas, they will upgrade the reception area. 

The pool in the bedroom is Luke warm all day and night, so it feels good to go in the pool at night, usually, I don’t like that because it is too cold, but in this place, I swam day and night.
